Description
A japanese prohibition sign shirt, taken straight from the format you see on every wall in Japan. Japan runs on 禁止 signs: no smoking, no phones, no entry, each one a red circle and a blunt instruction. This one says セクハラ禁止.
Printed on a 6.2oz heavyweight cotton tee in a unisex boxy fit. Direct-to-garment, so the black and red stay sharp through the wash and the print stays soft rather than sitting on the fabric like a plastic patch.
Three layouts of the japanese prohibition sign shirt
- Stacked — the sign above the wording, closest to the real thing.
- Beside — the mark to the left, Japanese and English set together.
- Clean — mark and Japanese only, no English line.
What セクハラ禁止 means
セクハラ is the Japanese shortening of “sexual harassment”, and 禁止 means prohibited or forbidden. Put together they read the way a public notice reads: flat, official, no argument. That deadpan tone is the whole joke, and it is also why the shirt lands differently depending on who is reading it.
Fit and care
Unisex sizing, S through XXL. Boxy through the body with a slightly dropped shoulder. If you are between sizes and want a looser fit, size up. Wash cold inside out, hang to dry, and do not iron directly over the print.
Printed to order
Nothing sits in a warehouse and nothing gets thrown away at the end of a season. Each shirt is made after you order it, which means a few days before dispatch and no dead stock. Because it is made for you specifically, have a look at the size guide before ordering.
